Top 10 Reasons Why Macs Underpreform

I am getting tired of all this Mac vs PC commercialized bull. Here are the top 10 reasons why Macs will never, never, be as good as a PC.

10. Macs are way over priced. It's ridiculous looking at Apples prices. It shows through the whole product line, for example iPods. Why pay $149 for something you can get a $99, or depending on the sale $69.

9. MACS DO NOT LOOK COOL. I don't understand why people think that a white box is the single coolest thing in the world. Plain and simple, it's not.

8. Macs are so stinking slow. I have never in my life used a $3000 dollar machine that ran so freaking slow.

7. They crash all the time. When I would work in photoshop it was almost a game to load a file. Oh, will it crash this time while loading, or will it wait till I click something.

6. Once you buy it, thats it. There is no going out and upgrading your mac. If you want an upgrade you can take the machine back and get a PC.

5. The programs that come preloaded on a Mac suck. I can't even put it into words. They suck.

4. There are no programs other than the ones that come with the Mac. No developers want to invest time or money making something for ~5% of the computer users out there.

3. There are now entertainment programs (i.e. Games) written for Macs. Sure they can play music, but so can my cell phone. You know what, my cell phone has better games also.

2. Nothing other than what Apple makes is compatible with Macs. Once again nobody wants to invest the time or the money. So, once you buy in to a Mac, you start a long over priced love affair that you are so ashamed of you try to act proud. Common fanboys, we know you hate yourself on the inside.

1. The OS is a completely dumbed down, make it so easy to use that you can't use it, piece of trash. Why do people go out and pay extra money for professional grade products? Better customizations, fine tuning, features. That applies to everything from programs to tools, and even electronics. Leave it to Apple to charge more for an OS that prevents you from doing more. Thats like going to buy a meal and saying, " I'm sorry sir, but you will have to pay extra if you don't want a drink with that." Just doesn't make sense.

Wow you´re so clueless! There´re not overpriced, slow, prone to crashing, un-upgradeable, programless, or dumbed down. I really think you could make this artical much more accurate by switching "Mac" with "Vista".

"A blog describing and investigating the ways to make sure you get the best technology deals when purchasing new items."
the conclusion of the investigation is three simple words: Get a Mac
holy sh#t
@#2- Hy HP printer seems to work fine, as do the 3 external drives I have, 1 from the Apple Store, 1 form Best Buy, and 1 from CompUSA. Also, my digital camera works fine, my eyeTV (although made for Mac, its not made by Apple) works fine.
@#4- What drugs are you doing? There are thousands and thousands for apps for the Mac, and most of them have a free fully functional trial and some of them are free forever.
@#5- Please, what comes preloaded on your PC that is comparable to GarageBand? iTunes (although PC compatible, its not preloaded)? iMovie HD? iPhoto? iWeb?
@#6- Yes, for most of the Macs most of the hardware is hard to change. The MacBook is easy to change RAM and HD, I changed my RAM in under 5 mintues. The Mac Pro however, thats a whole nother story
@#7- Where'd you buy your RAM?
@#9- Its not "cool" its "simlpe" No "Windows XP" or "Intel Inside" stickers ont he palmrest no bulky shitty looking warning stickers on the back
@#10- Wait, are we talking about iPods or Macs, you threw me off.

Apple definatly is ripping its people off there, only giving them $1,714 off is ridiculous, and they only get .34GHz faster/per core on all 8 cores! RIP OFF APPLE!

10 - That's the same old argument that people that don't know any better have been posting for years. And it's a bunch of crap.
http://blogs.zdnet.com/Burnette/?p=211
and there's many others out there as well.
9) I can't argue that - Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But, then why do we continue to see Apples in damn near every tv show and movies??
8) On a daily basis, I use Both Macs and Windows computer with comparable processors speeds. And the Macs wins that battle, hands down. Granted, the windows mchines are running XP, and most likely are just slow due to all the spyware on them.
7)I never shut my MacBook Pro off. I will typically have an uptime up 2 weeks or more. And I use photoshop on a daily basis. Photoshop may run a little slow right now, But that will most likely change ince I upgrade to CS3.
6) And how many people out in the "real world" upgrade their PC's?? Most PC onwer I know seem to buy a new one every year becuase they get so bogged down with Trojans, viruses and spyware that it's easier to buy new.
5) Can't even comment on that one. WordPad and Solitiare Kick Ass :)
4)Another old argument that just false. Most of the common apps available are available on both. For the rare application that isn't, Let's see, Parralles, or bootcamp solves that issues. Let see you do that on a PC??
3)Huh???
2)See number 4
1)Have you ever used the OS for more then a couple of minutes?? Ya, there are time when the OS may get in the way of what I want to do. But, I use both Mac.s and windows machines daily, And the windows OS gets in my way a hell of alot more the OSX.

This entire post is just such a load of crap. The only reasonable reason that it was even posted was to drive traffic to your lame ass site.

I agree with you. Macs are trash. They are a waste of money. Macs cost more because they like to make thier cases "toilet white." Also Macs have all sorts of cute little picture icons to open programs and other things. It seems to me that Macs are toys designed for the 5 year old entertainment. Also- WOW! A mac can play music, videos, and handle digital photos! Amazing! The kids meal toys at fast food restaurants can play music too, for 50 cents. In my opinion, using PCs for home videos and digital photos works great.
